Deelicious Recipes: Amazing Steak Marinade
Hello all!
This week
was the last week for my last in-person class, and I’m preparing for this weekend’s
Columbus trip to sign a lease (yay…), so I figured I’d give you guys a recipe
today rather than delve into bitching or musing about one of the many topics
currently on my mind.
This is my
absolutely freaking delicious steak marinade. Every time I’ve made it it’s been
a delicious success. And it’s so simple to make! I love marinades. All you do
is throw a bunch of ingredients together, pour it over some meat (what up), and
leave it in the fridge until you’re ready to cook it up.
I don’t eat
red meat often (unless I have a wicked craving when my iron is low), but when I
do, I like a big, juicy steak…swimming in this marinade. So here it is…try it
on the grill while there’s still time!
The last time I used this marinade. Mmmm...best meal ever. |
D's Steak Marinade
½ cup olive oil
¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup lemon juice (don’t skimp on it, it breaks down and
tenderizes the meat!...what up again.)
Minced garlic (again, I do spices to taste….probably about 2
tbs. But remember, I’m a garlic girl. You may want to use less if you’re not
crazy about garlicy deliciousness.)
Dried basil (lots of basil in this! Maybe… 2 ½, 3 tbs)
White pepper (you can
use red pepper instead, but I absolutely love white pepper. Again, to taste.)
Hot sauce (to taste, optional. I like it hot. ;) )
Put all ingredients in a bowl and whisk until as blended as
possible. Pour over delicious, perfectly marbled steak…I’m getting hungry.
Focusing.
Let rest for 6-12 hours, or overnight.
Grill, bake, fry, or otherwise prepare and consume your
steak.
If you’re anything like me, you’ll be drooling over the
smell of this stuff long before the meat his your mouth.
Wow…there are what ups all over this post.
Cheers!
